A comparison of termination criteria for A∗OMP

چکیده
Heuristic search has recently been utilized for compressed sensing signal recovery problem by the A* Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (A*OMP) algorithm. A*OMP employs A* search on a tree with an OMP-based evaluation of the branches, where the search is terminated when the desired path length is achieved. The algorithm employs effective pruning techniques and cost models which make the tree search practical. Here, we propose two important extensions of A*OMP: We first introduce a novel dynamic cost model that reduces the search time. Second, we modify the termination criterion by stopping the search when l2 norm of the residue is small enough. Following the restricted isometry property, this termination criterion is more appropriate for our purposes. We demonstrate the improvements in terms of both reconstruction accuracy and computation times via a wide range of simulations.

Improving A*OMP: Theoretical and Empirical Analyses With a Novel Dynamic Cost Model
Best-first search has been recently utilized for compressed sensing (CS) by the A orthogonal matching pursuit (AOMP) algorithm. In this work, we concentrate on theoretical and empirical analyses of AOMP. We present a restricted isometry property (RIP) based general condition for exact recovery of sparse signals via AOMP. In addition, we develop online guarantees which promise improved recovery ...
متن کاملTuning Free Orthogonal Matching Pursuit
Orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) is a widely used compressive sensing (CS) algorithm for recovering sparse signals in noisy linear regression models. The performance of OMP depends on its stopping criteria (SC). SC for OMP discussed in literature typically assumes knowledge of either the sparsity of the signal to be estimated k0 or noise variance σ , both of which are unavailable in many pract...
متن کاملOn the Theoretical Analysis of Orthogonal Matching Pursuit with Termination Based on the Residue
Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) is a simple, yet empirically competitive algorithm for sparse recovery. Recent developments have shown that OMP guarantees exact recovery of K-sparse signals in K iterations if the observation matrix Φ satisfies the Restricted Isometry Property (RIP) with Restricted Isometry Constant (RIC) δK+1 < 1
متن کاملPermissibility of multifetal pregnancy reduction from the shiite point of view
Objective Advancements in medical technology have significantly increased the possibility of successful infertility treatment. Medical interventions in the initial process of pregnancy that intend to increase the chances of pregnancy create the risk of multifetal pregnancies for both mothers and fetuses. Physicians attempt to reduce the numbers of fetuses in order to decrease this risk and guar...

Introduction: This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of 800µg vaginal misoprostol after wetting alkaline PH vagina with 3% acetic acid in comparison with 800µg vaginal misoprostol alone in the alkaline PH vagina in terminating first trimester pregnancies. Methods: In this clinical trial, a total of 100 healthy women between 20 and 40 years old requesting legal terminat...
